Bogus clothing collections
feature on BBC's Watchdog

Bogus house-to-house charity collections of clothes etc were featured on the Watchdog consumer programme on peak-time BBC1 TV at 7pm, Wednesday 20 November 2002.

The first 11 minutes or so of the half-hour programme were devoted to the topic.

The programme focused on bogus collections by 'Gotham' and associated organisations, who had alleged in their leaflets that the donated goods would go to charity shops in Eastern Europe, especially Lithuania.
